Financing There are numerous methods for homeowners to finance a home
performance retrofit project. In addition to your private sources of funds
(cash, savings, equity lines of credit, etc.), the Electric and Gas Industry
Association (EGIA) has established a financing program in association
with the Federal Mortgage Assistance program (Fannie Mae).

Electric & Gas Industries Association The Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions through the appliance, home improvement and renewable energy industries. EGIA serves a network of nearly 1000 contractors, distributors, manufacturers and retailers. EGIA is a leading provider of resource efficiency services and rebate administration for investor owned utilities, municipalities and water companies, likely processing more energy efficiency rebates nationally than any non-utility entity over the past 15 years. Through its unprecedented network of contractors and retailers, EGIA delivers appliance retailer and contractor field services; including contractor education, certification and sales channel development and support. EGIA also provides consumer financing of energy efficiency
and renewable energy solutions, offering both secured and unsecured, branded
and private- labeled lending programs to utilities, energy service providers,
manufactures, appliance retailers and contractors. Over the past two years,
EGIA has provided more than $100 million in efficiency and renewable energy
financing to homeowners and businesses throughout the Western region. |
